The Village of St-Pierre-Jolys has curbside compost pickup. This is pretty unique for a small community. It has been possible through CDEM as a joint project with the R.M. of De Salaberry. In addition to helping to protect the environment, a reduction in the amount of garbage reduces costs to the Village.
Any container can be used for compost pickup however, the Village has 250 free compost bins for your asking. (Limit of 1 per residence.)
